Leighton International, Rigid Extension Undersea Pipe Laying Stinger Section II

CTE constructed the Stinger Extension for Leighton Contractors (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Total unit weight is approximately 135MT. The stinger extension is the stage 2 section of a 60m stinger for Leighton’s new build pipe lay barge – “Leighton Eclipse” which commenced operations in November 2009 off the west coast of India. The stinger is installed on the starboard side at the stern of the lay barge. The stinger extension is 24 meters long with 4 roller support frames. Fabrication included 4 main chords, horizontal, vertical, and diagonal bracing as well as roller connection plates. This is the second project CTE has done regarding pipe lay barge stingers
